Precedence explained
Which setting wins when a smart group, a domain and the defaults all apply.
For each name on a domain (the apex @, each subdomain and *), the setting that serves is chosen in this order:
- Smart group override, if the domain is in a smart group with one;
- the domain's own attached services;
- the team defaults.
The domain page shows the winner for every name with a badge for where it came from, and any setting that is shadowed appears struck through as overridden. If you edit a setting that a smart group overrides, your change is saved but won't take effect until the domain leaves the group or the override is cleared.
